William Hill news - Double Whammy For Obama
Bookmakers William Hill were forced to lengthen Barack Obama's odds of retaining the US Presidency twice on Wednesday, for the first time during the campaign,as political punters steamed in to back Mitt Romney to land a shock victory. 'Romney started the day at odds of 15/8, but was cut firstly to 13/8, then to 6/4 as punters virtually ignored Obama - except for one brave customer who put a £4000 wager on the incumbent to win again' saids Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
'We anticipate record betting levels for this Election campaign and expect at least £5m to be gambled industry-wide' added Sharpe.
