Ferguson to turn to veteran duo

Manchester United will rely on Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes to show enough 'nous' to get the better of West Ham United tonight in the FA Cup

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to put out a strong side at Old Trafford after Robin van Persie's stoppage-time leveller in the initial clash salvaged a third-round replay.

United know it will be a delicate balancing act with a vital trip also coming up on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Jonny Evans is expected to come into the centre of defence alongside one of Phil Jones or Chris Smalling, with Rio Ferdinand rested and Nemanja Vidic suffering from a slight bout of concussion.

Manchester United are 1.30 to win the replay and 5.50 to go on and clinch this season's FA Cup.

Former United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar believes his old club will still have enough 'know-how' to get the better of Sam Allardyce's men.

The Dutchman insists: "I do think United are very fortunate to still be in the tie, but it was a great pass from Ryan Giggs and a great goal from Robin in that first game.

"The pass was quality and both Giggsy and Scholsey have set the standard for over the last 20 years. The players have won lots of things already and are hungry for another title and I hope they can add something to the silverware this year."

The Hammers have their own selection issues with James Collins (hamstring) joining the already unavailable George McCartney and Joey O'Brien on the sidelines.
