India power to Ranchi win

India took a 2-1 series lead with a crushing seven-wicket victory over England in the third one-day international at Ranchi
Set just 156 to win after a poor England innings, India coasted to victory with 131 balls left of the innings, marking the inaugural ODI in M S Dhoni's home town in style.
England were put into bat and were looking fairly comfortable until Kevin Pietersen was dismissed for 17. Ian Bell (25) fell within three balls and a collapse followed, with Joe Root top scoring with 39. Tim Bresnan offered some resistance towards the end with 25 but the tourists were all out for 155 in 42.02 overs, Ravindra Jadeja finishing with figures of 3-19.
India lost opening batsman Ajinkya Rahane to Steven Finn for a duck in the third over, but didn't lose focus, Virat Kohli easing to an unbeaten 77. Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh were removed by James Tredwell, leaving Dhoni to hit the winning boundary with 21.5 overs left.
England must now win the fourth match of the five-match series in Mohali on Wednesday to keep their hopes alive. They are 2.50 to level the series 2-2, while India are 1.53 to take an unassailable lead. Kohli is 4.33 to be India's top batsman.
