Allegri calls for calm heads

Massimiliano Allegri is in no doubt Barcelona will look to attack when they host AC Milan in a Champions League round of 16 decider at Camp Nou on Tuesday.

Second-half strikes from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari in the first leg in Italy gave the Serie A giants a healthy cushion to take to Spain, but Allegri says he and his players are braced for a response from the La Liga leaders. The Scudetto-chasers can be backed at 9.00 in the 90 minutes market and 1.65 to qualify.

He said: "I expect Barcelona to put us under a lot of pressure from the word go. They are very capable of turning the tie around. They create lots of chances to score, so you have to be good on the ball and determined when you are defending."

Barca have been stung by successive defeats by arch enemy Real Madrid domestically but maintained a 13-point lead at the top in Spain with a weekend win against Deportivo La Coruna.

The Catalans have promised an all-systems-go approach in the return leg to avoid missing out on the quarter-finals of Europe's elite club competition for the first time since 2006/07 and Allegri says his players will have to keep their composure.

He added: "We may have few chances to score but they are likely to leave gaps in their defence. When you face Barcelona you're never calm."

Giampaolo Pazzini (fibula) has not joined the squad in Barcelona and France defender Philippe Mexes (thigh) is rated as doubtful. Luca Antonini played 90 minutes for the Milan youth side at the weekend and could feature for the first time since twisting his right knee on February 14, but midfield enforcer Nigel de Jong is out for the season after damaging his left Achilles tendon in December.
