Conte bullish on Juventus plan

Antonio Conte will tell his Juventus players they must front-up when they take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday.

The Turin club opened up a nine-point gap at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 win against Inter Milan on Saturday and make the trip to Germany buoyed by the inclusion of Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco.

Conte said he was relieved Juve had put domestic matters to bed before turning his thoughts to a huge last-eight clash at Allianz Arena.

"We'll head to Munich with a spring in our step knowing that we've done our job on the domestic front," he said.

The 43-year-old said his Scudetto-chasers had no reason to fear the runaway Bundesliga leaders, but warned they must be alive from the first whistle against Jupp Heynckes' formidable side.

He added: "We'll head there to keep our dream alive and to test our mettle in the European arena and we'll do it with a smile and no fear. We just want to see how far behind Europe's best we are.

"Who will play in Munich? We'll try to put out a strong physical side but I'll sleep on it first."

The Old Lady are quoted 6.50 in the match betting and 2.50 to qualify to the last four of Europe's premier club competition.
