Jol delights in Hangeland boost

Martin Jol thinks that his Fulham side will take a massive boost into the derby clash with QPR after key defender Brede Hangeland signed a new contract.
The Cottagers have tied the 31-year-old Norwegian down to a new two-year deal and Jol is delighted to see one of his star performers opt to stay put at Craven Cottage for the foreseeable future.
He told the club's official website: "We are ever so satisfied that he signed his contract because you never know. It was quite challenging trying to keep him.
"It was quite exciting because I thought I could lose him. He was on a free at the end of the year.
"He is a very good player, one of the best players in the division in his position."
Forward Bryan Ruiz is a doubt for Monday evening's clash with the R's at Craven Cottage due to a hamstring problem, while midfiedler Mahamadou Diarra will miss the rest of the season after being forced to undergo further surgery on a knee problem.
The Cottagers are 2.00 to secure a victory on home turf on Monday, with the draw 3.60, while Fulham are 2.62 to keep a clean sheet.
