Lampard: Winning all that matters

Frank Lampard has admitted that Chelsea have grown to love the Europa League, as they prepare for a final showdown with Benfica in Amsterdam.

Lampard, who is out of contract at the end of the season, says that failure to mount a strong defence of their Champions League crown hurt the Blues at first.

However, having dropped down to the Europa League, Chelsea have regrouped under Rafa Benitez and are now just one game away from yet another major trophy.

"At first we were disappointed to end up in the Europa League, but the more we have been involved in it, the more we have learned to love it," Lampard said.

"We wanted to progress and the closer we got to the final, the more we wanted to be here."

Chelsea are 1.66 to lift the trophy on Wednesday evening, with Benfica 2.25, while the Blues are 2.40 to win the game in normal time.

Meanwhile, Lampard, who is 8.50 to open the scoring, has insisted that winning is all that matters and that his own future can be sorted out afterwards.

He added: "I don't know what the future exactly holds, but it doesn't matter tomorrow (Wednesday) night. It's about winning the game.''

Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard has been ruled out of the Amsterdam showdown due to a hamstring problem and club captain John Terry is a doubt due to an ankle knock.Don't forget, all of the fantastic markets we have to offer, including In-Play betting, can be accessed on mobile or tablet with bet365 On The Move.
