Reading boss Brian McDermott hailed the dramatic 3-2 victory at home to West Bromwich Albion as a 'big win' in their fight to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Royals scored three times in the final eight minutes of the game at the Madejski Stadium to move off the foot of the table and to within three points of safety, with Reading now 2/9 to be relegated.
"The real Reading is the last eight minutes because that is what I have seen over the last three years - a phenomenal character, desire and resilience," a delighted McDermott said after a stunning fightback.
"We have a dressing room that is all going in the same direction. It is a big win for us.
"We have won two of the last three games in this league and three of the last four (in all competitions).
"We have to keep doing our stuff. Each staff member and player is doing their best, that is all one can ask."
Reading return to action next Saturday at Newcastle United, who are only two points above the dropzone themselves. The Royals are 13/5 to take a point at St James' Park and 16/5 to record another much-needed victory.
