Moyes pleased with Gibson return

Everton travel to Stoke City this weekend and boss David Moyes hopes that midfielder Darron Gibson can continue his impressive form since his return from injury.

Moyes continues to be delighted by the progress his charges have made in the opening half of the season and has been heartened by the displays of Irish midfielder Gibson, who is now finding his form after a thigh injury kept him out for three months.

But Moyes feels Gibson still has plenty more to give and that the former Manchester United player just needs to impose his talents more in games.

"I think he has the ability but there is a bit more to his game that he can offer," insists Moyes.

"He needs to take control more. He is a young boy with a big future, he should also be a key player for Ireland. That is something he should work for."

He will also be aware winning at such difficult places as the Britannia Stadium, could make all the difference if they want to continue their push for a Champions League spot this term.

The Toffees can currently be backed at 7/2 to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

While Moyes' side are 3/1 to beat Stoke this weekend, with Tony Pulis' outfit available at 21/10 for the win.
