Wenger demands focus after upset

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his side to 'focus on the next game' after their shock Capital One Cup exit at the hands of League Two Bradford City.

The Gunners lost out 3-2 in a penalty shootout to the Bantams after the quarter-final at Valley Parade had ended 1-1 after extra-time.

The loss leaves Arsenal to look to the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League to end their silverware drought, which stretches back to their FA Cup success in 2005.

Wenger's side are 10/1 to win the FA Cup for an 11th time, 80/1 to secure the Premier League title and 33/1 to be crowned champions of Europe for the first time.

A downbeat Wenger said after a sad night in West Yorkshire: "Where it leaves our season is to focus on the next game. Sport is about that. Win the next game, focus on the next game."

However, the Frenchman refused to be too critical of his side, adding: "You feel embarrassed when you don't give everything, but I feel the team did fight and they will be more disappointed and frustrated.

"We played with a very offensive team and for over an hour played with five strikers but couldn't score."

Following their shock victory, Bradford are 20/1 to win the Capital One Cup, with fellow semi-finalists Aston Villa 4/1.
