Ferguson: Title not two-way fight

Sir Alex Ferguson remains adamant the fight for the Premier League title is not a two-way shoot-out between Manchester United and Manchester City.

United extended their lead over City to three points at the top of the Premier League following their dramatic 4-3 victory over Reading, but despite a significant gap already opening between the top two and the clubs below them, Ferguson is wary of ruling other teams out of the title race.

"At this time you can't really say that," Ferguson told MUTV.

"You can't say that but I think the important thing for us is to take lessons from the mistakes we are making and find a solution, because we are going to need it."

While United are struggling to keep clean sheets, they are scoring goals galore and Ferguson admitted it is this ability which is making him confident that his side can win any game.

"That's the strength in depth of the attacking options and that's what keeps driving us on and we never give up," he said.

"Personally I always felt confident, even when we were going goals behind, that we could still get back in the game and win the game, and that obviously proved the case."

Don't forget all Premier League matches are covered by the bet365 100% Euro Soccer Bonus, where you could earn a bonus of up to 100% on your returns on pre-match accumulator bets.

United are rated as 1.80 to win the Premier League, with City 2.30.
