Steep learning curve for Freedman

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman insists his players won't be fooled twice.

The Scot is still tetchy about the late defeat to Ipswich Town last weekend, which ended his unbeaten start since coming to the Reebok Stadium last month.

Freedman has spent the majority of the week stressing the importance to his squad of maintaining concentration levels throughout the entire 90 minutes.

Bolton, who are 10.00 to win promotion this season, now travel to face Huddersfield Town this weekend and, like themselves, have found themselves a prize scalp for teams this season.

Freedman insists: "Lessons have been learned from last week. Huddersfield, priced up 34.00 to win promotion, have spent a lot of money on a lot of strikers but it has proved to be a very difficult season for them in this division.

"But I'm sure they will be fired up and ready to go against us."

The Trotters will be without suspended right-back Tyrone Mears at the John Smith's Stadium, with Joe Riley set to deputise.

Bolton have received some good news with influential American midfielder Stuart Holden returning to training in the last few days, following 18 months of knee problems.
