Brad Friedel says he is happy to fight for his place at Tottenham and has no intention of leaving the club.
Friedel has found himself out of favour in recent weeks, with Frenchman Hugo Lloris preferred in goal, although manager Andre Villas-Boas insists he wants to keep the 41-year-old at the club.
Spurs rejected a bid from Blackburn to take their former player back to Ewood Park two weeks ago and Friedel says he does not envisage a return to Lancashire at this point in his career.
"I cannot answer questions (about a potential January move)," he said.
"It's all hypothetical. Right now I am a Tottenham player and I am very happy here.
"I have no idea (about Blackburn's interest). When I was apparently contemplating doing a medical I was at home having Thanksgiving dinner with my family.
"What happens between club and club a lot of times players don't know. At the end of the day I am contracted to Tottenham and am concentrating on Tottenham."
Friedel insists he thrives on competition and has no issue with the signing of Lloris, who arrived for £8million on transfer deadline day. Lloris is likely to be in goal against Everton on Sunday where Spurs are 4.50 to keep a clean sheet.
"This club wants to be in the Champions League. They want to be there every single year and they want to be trying to win trophies all the time so they continuously have to buy good players in every position."
Spurs are 2.10 to finish in the top four while Everton can be backed at 5.50.
