Moyes eyes return to winning ways

Everton manager David Moyes is hoping to end a run of frustrating draws against top-four rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

The Toffees have lost just two of their 15 Premier League games so far this season, but have drawn seven of their last nine to leave them sixth in the table.

They take on Spurs hoping to claim a vital three points to maintain their push for Champions League places. Moyes' side are 5.50 to finish in the top four, while Spurs can be backed at 2.10.

The Everton boss is not too despondent however, with plenty of games ahead.

"It is still quite early - we are not into Christmas time and a lot will change over the next month or two," said Moyes, whose side are 8.50 to defeat Spurs 2-1.

"So you don't need to be right up there right away, even though I'd like to be."

He added: "I think there are good draws and bad draws.

"The good parts of the Man City and Arsenal matches were that in both games, there were periods where we could have won and there were also periods where I was happy with how we defended and made sure we didn't concede.

"But I think there have been other draws before that where we could say we let points slip and should have done a little bit better."

Kevin Mirallas and Seamus Coleman could return for Everton but Victor Anichebe and Phil Neville are still sidelined.
