Chelsea consolidated their position of third in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over London rivals Arsenal.
Juan Mata put the Blues in front within the first six minutes before a Frank Lampard penalty doubled Chelsea's advantage after Ramires was brought down by Gunners goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Theo Walcott, who signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with Arsenal earlier in the week, reduced the arrears for the visitors in the second half with a clinical strike but it was not enough for Arsene Wenger's men.
The win sees Chelsea move to within six points of second-placed Manchester City while they are eight points ahead of fifth-placed Everton, although the Toffees have a game in hand. Chelsea are 1.083 to finish in the top four this season while Everton are 5.50.
The win was Chelsea's first home success in 2013 and came at the fourth attempt. It will give Rafael Benitez's men confidence heading into the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi-final against Swansea City on Wednesday. The Blues have to overturn a 2-0 deficit at the Liberty Stadium to reach the final of the competition and are 1.90 to win, with the Swans 4.00 and the draw 3.50.
The defeat for Arsenal sees them remain in sixth place in the Premier League and they are now 2.37 to finish in the top four.
