3/1 Bank of England’s new Governor stays 5 years:
WITH MARK CARNEY due to take over as Governor of the Bank of England this July, William Hill have opened a book on when he will leave the position. The Canadian has indicated that he only intends to serve five years in the role, and Hills offer 3/1 that he will indeed depart in 2018. ‘Mr Carney says now that he is likely to step down in 2018 but if he is doing a good job he may well decide to stay on. However, if he isn’t he may depart earlier than expected’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
